What's your approach?

What would your business look like if it was enjoyable or even fun? (or whatever adjective works for you).

If you strip away the shoulds, the strategies, the “how it should look,” and instead ask: what if this was fun?—what would change about how you run your business?

  • Your offers wouldn’t just be what you think you can sell, they’d be what you’re excited to deliver.

  • Your systems wouldn’t be based on other people’s idea of productivity and structure—you’d build ones that actually make your day easier.

  • Your marketing would sound like you, and feed your sense of “fun” or creativity.

  • Your schedule wouldn’t be a day to get through —it would provide fuel by having room for joy, rest, play, and the support you crave.

Fun isn’t the opposite of running a successful business—it’s the drive and motivation to keep going. It helps you be more creative. It helps you problem-solve and be more innovative.

So, what if building your business started with what you wanted to do first? When you put what you find fun and satisfying first, you build a business you actually want to run.

Success isn’t guaranteed either way so why not start from a place that is supportive and fun to YOU first?

And for some of you the kind of work you do maybe wouldn’t even fit the description of fun – saying being a death doula is fun might get you the side-eye but I’m sure it can be fulfilling, satisfying, rewarding and yes, maybe not fun but joyful in its own ways.

And I’m never going to say all parts of my business are “fun” and honestly I’m more likely to say enjoyable or satisfying (ok some of it is fun) BUT I do think it’s super important to have the core parts of how you approach your business operations to be tailored to YOU and that starts with finding strategies and approaches you actually find enjoyable, satisfying and maybe even a little fun.

What’s the point of having your own business otherwise?

There are so many approaches to any given part of running your business – why not start with an approach that you actually think you will enjoy executing first?

Leaning into this month's witchy theme - let's talk Tarot cards! While you might not associate Tarot cards as a tool to use in your business. I actually find pulling out my deck can be quite helpful to help me get unstuck and out of my head in several different areas of my business. One way that I've been playing around with Tarot lately is using it to help with my content creation - pulling out the deck is a fun way to help inspire me when I feel uninspired with what to post or if I'm...

One thing I love about Human Design and Astrology is that it gives me permission to embrace things that I recognize about myself but have often fought against or thought I need to fix. Instead of saying, how can I fix this tendency, I can shift to how I can embrace and work with this part of me. Last month, I decided to tackle the Garbage Post challenge – and the core of the challenge is to post 100 posts in 30 days. Now I’ve tried this challenge a few times prior, years ago, but never got...

The BHG Dispatch – October 2026 🎃 Monthly updates from the Bloom Hustle Grow orbit. I hope September was a good month in your corner of the world. I'm reviving this formatting for the monthly update newsletter! M’s field notes Ok, guys — my little Fall Curriculum experiment has worked so well for my focus and productivity. I'm shocked (shocked!) how breaking down my focus in this way helped me so much. I also feel like this month I've settled into a good exercise routine 💪. I'm excited to...
