Before takeoff flight attendants deliver the same reminder: put your own oxygen mask on before helping others. It's strange when you think about it. Shouldn't that be automatic? Hey, I can't breathe — better fix that. And yet we need the reminder. Every flight. Every time. So here's my question for you, in your own flight around the sun: Where are you not putting your oxygen mask on first? Sit with that for a second. What's the first thing that comes to mind? Now, let me ask you — why? Why do you keep letting others take your oxygen — sacrificing, shrinking, settling? Whose purpose is that serving? Because it's not yours - If you can't breathe, what good are you to anyone else? I think about this a lot in my own life — the ways I've handed my oxygen to arbitrary deadlines, letting other people's priorities overshadow mine, chasing a version of "success" that wasn't sustainable or fulfilling, and waiting to "earn" fun or rest. The thing is, these things don't show up like a lack of oxygen does — they drain away our time and energy more slowly. It's not necessarily that we don't recognize these things — we just let things slip over time, and we keep adding things without evaluating what needs to be cleaned out, losing sight of what's important. And we don't realize there is a problem until we are forced to. But when you structure your days around YOU, it's easier to recognize when you are losing oxygen. A YOU first approach doesn't come from fleeting reminders or when things fall apart — it comes from building it into how you structure your days so putting yourself first stops being something you have to remember. That's exactly what I built inside → the YOU(niverse). The Bottom Line = You don't need another reminder to put yourself first — you need a structure that does it for you automatically. That's what's waiting for you inside YOU(niverse). |
I help women solopreneurs take self-knowledge from just being interesting to being operational. This isn’t about fixing, maxing, or hacking anything – this is about understanding your priorities, exploring how you operate on a foundational level, and applying that to how you actually run your business and manage your life.
Leaning into this month's witchy theme - let's talk Tarot cards! While you might not associate Tarot cards as a tool to use in your business. I actually find pulling out my deck can be quite helpful to help me get unstuck and out of my head in several different areas of my business. One way that I've been playing around with Tarot lately is using it to help with my content creation - pulling out the deck is a fun way to help inspire me when I feel uninspired with what to post or if I'm...
One thing I love about Human Design and Astrology is that it gives me permission to embrace things that I recognize about myself but have often fought against or thought I need to fix. Instead of saying, how can I fix this tendency, I can shift to how I can embrace and work with this part of me. Last month, I decided to tackle the Garbage Post challenge – and the core of the challenge is to post 100 posts in 30 days. Now I’ve tried this challenge a few times prior, years ago, but never got...

I'm shocked (shocked!) how breaking down my focus in this way helped me so much. I also feel like this month I've settled into a good exercise routine 💪. I'm excited to...
